The headwater of the Vall Fosca has been considerably altered by the hydroelectric exploitation of its lakes. However, it has kept its wilderness and the rugged features of the high mountain. The impressive granite relief and the lakes have become the main attraction of this valley in the peripheral area of the Park.

You can get to Gento Lake on foot from the dam of Sallente (1 h 30min and 350 m gradient) or, in the summertime, taking the cable railway connecting these two spots.

The cable railway may hold up to 58 passengers, and will take us from 1747m high to 2154m high at an ideal speed to enjoy the landscape.

Check the website of the Vall Fosca to learn about the opening times and dates of the cable railway.
